D.R.O.P Session 5: Pau Roca, Tête de la Course, Beniso
Tête de la Course
After the incredible opening to 2019 with Theo Kottis, D.R.O.P is back for its second party of the year! As always, expect true House music all night long on an incredible sound system for all night hip-shaking and love-making. On this occasion, we are doing a pop-up in an exciting new location, the newly refurbished R33! Come dance, play, sweat, love and laugh!
As described by the ‘Sónar’ festival in one of its reviews, Pau Roca has rocketed to become Barcelona’s new “house master”. Mix after mix Roca has established himself as one of the national electronic music scene’s most consistent and reliable assets. He has played alongside Jeremy Underground, Dan Shake, MLiR and Hunnee amongst many other names, and has appeared at Spain’s most prestigious festivals and venues, including Sónar Festival, Soundeat, MiRA, Brunch-In the Park, Apolo (Nitsa), Mondo Disko, Mutek, Oven, Electrosplash, Ballantines True Music, and BAM. After a stint as programmer and resident at the BeCool nightclub, Pau decided to venture into the record label world by opening the Bons Records label in 2013, alongside his partner Gon, an essential label for all lovers of quality house music in all its guises. We are honoured to be hosting Pau Roca at D.R.O.P, Barcelona’s new home for true House music lovers. This is going to be HUGE!

TÊTE DE LA COURSE
Emotion, expression and personality: the fundamental pillars of TDLC’s sound. This is pure feel-good House with gospel highs and soulful riffs. 2019 is looking to be a big year for the rising star of the international House scene: he will soon release ‘Your Love Keeps Me Hangin’ On’ to critical acclaim from Mixmag (premiere 24/01) and recently released a luscious remix of Purple Ice’s ‘Más Amor’. The Spanish born DJ and producer grew up with the heady rhythms of 90s house music before moving to New York to study music production. It was there he played his first gigs and forged a style influenced by the sounds of soul, funk, and afrobeat that surrounded him. He has released music on Defected Records and HedKandi amongst others, and is also the creative force behind Poetry in Motion records with fellow brothers Hurlee and Oui. This is TDLC’s second D.R.O.P appearance, back by popular demand!
